Cut the Cord – Shinedown
While the album is not out yet, Shinedown just released Cut The Cord as a single. Do you ever hear a song on the radio you don’t know but immediately recognize the artist and subsequently loose your mind sitting in your car? This is precisely what happened to me, without a care in the world to the onlookers on either side of me at the gas station. Can’t wait for the full album release!
Halestorm
I admit it, I am head over heels in love with Lzzy Hale. After my love affair with the first two albums, I was initially a bit disappointed in Into The Wild Life. But guys… this is Lzzy Hale…I had to keep giving it more time. I am so glad I did. First track I fell for was Apocalyptic, followed by I Like It Heavy & Jumped the Gun. Amen and Dear Daughter are also great, especially the last 90 seconds of Dear Daughter. The rest are still growing on me!
Muse
I have always loved Muse since Time is Running Out way back in aught’ three. That being said, I have usually loved only a few songs from each album, typically the more upbeat ones like Hysteria, Supermassive Black Hole, you get the picture.
In the case of Drones, the album plays out like a dystopian novel, and I love the whole damn thing! So excited to listen to the full album from start to finish, even though I’m still more drawn to the more positive tracks, like Mercy and Defector.
Walk off the Earth
I found Walk off the Earth when my sister shared Home We’ll Go, since the lyrics reminded her of me.

I still am so proud of my sister and how strong she is. It makes me cry when she says she is strong because I have endured the struggles for her so she didn’t have to. That’s all I want, for my experiences to make it easier for others, especially her. I still love that she see’s me as strong, when she was the one that saw more of what I went through than anyone else. Even when I feel that she is the one being strong for me.
X Ambassadors
During the world cup last year, Beats by Dre had an incredible ad that featured this song, and I have been obsessed ever since. I actually wasn’t as impressed with the new album VHS as I was their first few, specifically Love Songs, Drug Songs. That said, I absolutely LOVE Renegades!
