For a super simple Halloween table runner, this Burlap Bat DIY takes no time at all and can fit both a traditional and classy Halloween decor scheme.

What you need:

  • Burlap, cut to the length and width you desire. Mine is 1 foot wide and 4 feet long.
  • Black acrylic paint
  • Bat shaped cookie cutter
  • Paintbrush

Place the burlap on a plastic tarp or garbage sack, since the paint will go right through. Place the bat cookie cutter firmly on the burlap and use it as a guide while you paint.

Continue to move the cookie cutter around the burlap until you have all of your bats, and let dry. It’s that simple!
