Mad Like Alyce

This is a super cute DIY and takes just a few minutes. You can also get creative with the paint colors, or stick with the traditional orange, up to you! Either way, this was a lot of fun to do and is a great quick way to add a little Halloween flare to your home or party.

You will need:

  • Mini pumpkins (as many as you want!)
  • Fake fang party favors, one for each pumpkin
  • Sharp knife or pumpkin carving tool
  • Paint (spray or acrylic) if desired
  • Hot Glue Gun, also optional

Spray Paint

You can go with any color, use patterns, or even hand paint with acrylic paint. I decided to go the spray paint route for a nice solid even coat.

Allow your paint to dry according to packaging instructions.

Cutting The Mouth

Using your fake fangs as Use a sharp knife or designated pumpkin carving tool to cut out a rectangular hole for the mouth. I would go on the small side to start. Then, continue to slice out a little more as needed until the fangs fit. Don’t forget to trim the inside of the shell down, as most people often angle their cut towards the center of the pumpkin.

Add Your Poly-Grip

Just kidding. Well, kind of. When the fangs don’t quite fit right, the fangs will actually “spit” out of the mouth. Its quite funny at first, but I did end up using a little hot glue to give it that little bit of grip it needed to keep the fangs in.

And Wa-lah! You are done!
